UNWTO Global Code of Ethics

Global Code of Ethics for Tourism : commitment of the Social Tourism sector 

On the occasion of the 8th European Tourism for All Forum, held in Albufeira (Portugal) from 21-23 October 2015 at the invitation of the INATEL Foundation, the International Social Tourism Organisation (ISTO) and its members solemnly showed their commitment to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).

UNWTO Global Code of EthicsA special session was devoted to it, in presence of Mr. Marcio Favilla Luca de Paula, Executive Director for Operational programs and Institutional Relations at UNWTO. 

At the end of this session, the ISTO and ten of its most representative members from Europe and the Americas have signed the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, committing themselves to observe its principles, to disseminate it within the global network of social tourism as well as within each of the member organisations and to report back regularly to the UNWTO.
