The 1st Calypso meeting themed "The position of the European Commission towards social tourism" took place in October 2009 in Malaga, Spain at the time of the ISTO European Forum for Social Tourism.

The 2nd Awareness building meeting took place in Warsaw, Poland in November 2009. The theme of the workshop was "Managing CALYPSO in Poland and Neighbouring Member States". This meeting was organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

The 3rd Calypso Awareness building meeting has been held in Toulouse, France on 3 and 4 December 2009 and was organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the Région Midi-Pyrénées. The main theme of the event was “CALYPSO: The role and importance of local and regional authorities in the social tourism field”. As the meeting coincided with the European Day of Disability, a number of interventions by representatives of associations working in the the disability field were included in the programme. The 4th Calypso Awareness building meeting, organised by the European Commission, has been held in Rome, Italy on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2010 . The main theme of the event was “CALYPSO: the way forward from the supply side perspective”. This meeting was divided into four sessions: "Hotels and Hostels", "Facilitating Travel in Europe", "Other forms of accommodation" and finally "A Forward looking vision for Calypso". The Fifth Calypso event consisted of a session on the 24th of March, entitled “The Study on Tourism Exchanges in Europe: Preliminary Findings and the Way Forward” where some preliminary findings were presented and of a workshop with the stakeholders on the 25th of March 2010. Both sessions took place in Brussels. Below you will find a presentation of the findings and the presentation held during the workshop.
The Sixth Calypso Awareness building meeting, organised by the European Commission, has been held in Baile Felix, Romania on the 6th and 7th of May 2010 . The main theme of the event was “Stakeholders Proposals to Facilitate Exchanges through Calypso”. Below you will find a selection of presentations held in Baile Felix.
